Whats with Jesse Tobias??

I'll admit, I'm a little bias due to my strong liking for Alain Whyte but where did Jesse Tobias come from? He played with Alanis Morrissete for god sake. Did anyone know that? How the hell did he get hooked up with Morrissey, and then, to top it all off, he sharing a large load of the writing duties. Anyone know how that happens. I'll admit, hes great, love his songs, but Alanis Morrissette? How did Moz even let him in the door? Whose friend was he?

OK, forget the Alanis Morrissette part. I do think she sucks, and she was originally a bubble gum pop star, not unlike the ones Morrissey sings about in The World is Full of crashing Bores but my question was more ....

How did Jesse Tobias come about joining Morrisseys band and writing for RLOTT? Its easy to connect the dots on some of his past players but I havent found a link yet to Jesse. Does anyone know?

I know he is/was married to singer Angie Hart (from Australian band Frente) and they had a band together called 'Splendid' and their only album is named 'Have You Got a Name For It'. I haven't listened to it for a while though, maybe I should to see if there are any similarities with his writing on Ringleaders.

When I saw Morrissey in April that was the first thing I though - there's definately 'chemistry' between them. After the gig my husband made a comment about 'Mozz shaggin' the guitarist'.

I don't know about the sexual aspect, but I've never seen Moz so openly praise one of his band members (not even Marr) while sitting beside them as he did with Jesse. I know he was kind of introducing Jesse to the world, but still...He must've been a very good mood that day.

Wasn't Jesse a friend of Mikey Farrell and Mikey got him the job? I seem to recall him being in the red hot chili peppers briefly and was replaced by Dave Navarro.

Thanks. That sounds possible. I was just curious as Jesse is American and just doesnt come from the same background that Boz, Alain, Gary, Spencer, Deano, Johnny B., etc come from. Couldnt make any sort of connection. Thanks again.
