    Default Linder Sterling's band: Ludus

Seeker mentioned her recently, (http://forums.morrissey-solo.com/sho...ighlight=ludus) so I uploaded a sample of her work.

    All in one zip file:

Not for the faint of heart! I bought "The Damage" recently and I was surprised at how similar Ludus is to the Smiths in the sense that you can't really place them in any decade easily.

I loved "Breaking the Rules" the most - Linder certainly knew how to write great lyrics, namely that awesome dialogue at the end. Its worth memorizing, really.

Would somebody mind uploading these songs again...please?? I would really love to listen to these songs, and see how much I love her. I've heard sample portions of some songs, liked them very much and am interested in listening to them over and over and over...

Thanks in advance to the willing soul!!

Hmm, I don't know, they're hardly similar to the bulk of 80s pop or rock bands.

Ludus is quite clearly a post-punk band, I think.
Pain is to pleasure as disco is to punk. You need to live through one to fully appreciate the other.

I found that one and what seems like a demo of "Sightseeing" on Soulseek as well.

I've got that one too. My personal favourite is "Let Me Go Where My Pictures Go". Very post-punk and reminds me a bit of Orange Juice who are also very good.
