It's great. Neil is as sound as a pound. His in-store gigs are legendary and he is a lovely, unassuming guy who makes time for anyone. He signed my lousy €3 "Diva Lady" 7" and chatted away to me about the pink vinyl version ffs!
I haven't gotten it; yet. Have nearly everything from "Fanfare For The Comic Muse" up to "Absent Friends". Saw him perform for "Short Album About Love" (including an in-store), and "Regeneration". Does great covers of David Bowie, Magnetic Fields, Kraftwerk and Ride as b-sides.
Just waiting for Mr. Amazon to deliver it to me - I've heard so many good things about it on this forum that I decided to go for it. I have a couple of his albums and he is another of those artists that I am sometimes forgetful about due to my passion for all things Morrissey.
Will report back here when I've taken a listen.
In a tenuous Moz link, there is also a wonderful cover of The Associates' "Party Fears Two".
