Smiths sleeves

Since I haven't got all the singles (I haven't even got one!) from the Smiths, and it's a real pity cause the sleeves are worth the while,
do you remember for which single the part from the film East of Eden was used??

Was the 'Strangeways' sleeve not from East of Eden?

That image was not used for a single, it was used for the cover of "Best I" and "The Complete Picture" DVD/VHS. The image was cropped so that only Dean's hand is visible.

Also, the image used for "Strangeways" is from "East of Eden" too-- sort of. It's a photo taken on the set, when the actors were not filming their scenes. The full photograph can be seen in the "Suedehead" video-- Davalos is looking down at Dean, a theme that must have intrigued Morrissey since the "Best" photograph more or less has the same geometry.
