I can't knit ladies - I've tried, but it makes unsightly holes when I increase to make a bosom. Willies are easier. It's a sweet idea though. (The duet, not the willies.)

Willies and plums are a fiddle because of cramped working space, but they're just two little flaps, knitted on stitches picked up from the doll's groin (see picture), then sewn up around their contents, so no, they are not inherently difficult. To change the upper body contour from male to female demands increase and decrease rows that affect the front of the body. Picking up stitches mid-row leaves holes and looks rubbish. So no joy on that front, as it were.

It can mean deprive someone of all their money (like 'cleaning someone out' in a card game, etc), often by unfair means, but it can also indicate a thorough defeat, as in a good drubbing.

Then again, Morrissey might just have been in need of a good scrub!
