Default I WAS REALLY MORBID ONCE.......

After listening to "Sing Me To Sleep" by the Smiths.....I called my mother at work and told her to write the name of that song on a piece of paper, after she begrudgingly did so I informed her that that is the song I want played at my funeral........spooky!

    She must be so proud.

    Blown up by a bomb.

She'll probably forget and you'll end up with the theme from Titanic.

Default This seems to be a common teenage obsession

A girl I knew at university said exactly the same thing. When she was about 15 she convinced herself that she had cancer and was going to die. Silly trout. Anyway, she wrote out lengthy funereal instructions, which included the playing of "Asleep". Needless to say, none of her prophecies came true. In any case, no doubt her family would disregard her teeny scribblings and stick with the old and trusted, like Tossie Williams' "Angels" or that dreadful Witless Houston song.

Smart girl.........but anyhow.....thats is rather a very common teenage obsession....its really laughable! When i was 13 i wanted that to be my funeral song. I think i may still do it...but who says that its guranteed that my family will even pay attention to my wishes.

I don't think that is so unusual. I made the same request of my closest living relative several years ago. I won't have a funeral, but that is to be played at a *very* private memorial. Isn't mortality wondeful?

Yeah I used to have it written in my Journal.. all the lyrics written out with BYE BYE written real big on the bottom. And I figured "they" would eventually find it and read it. I still have that Journal and it would be kind of scary to look at it now.

I want "Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" by Bombalurina or "Mr. Blobby" played at mine.
If the DJ ain't got that, then "Ouija Board, Ouija Board" by Morrissey.

I've chosen "For Free", by Joni Mitchell. There will be a text "Denouement". By you know who.

    A fitting way to go.

    "Kneeling over the rows,
    we reached among the leaves
    with quick practiced hands,
    cupping the berry protectively before
    snapping off the stem
    between thumb and forefinger."

    Yes indeed, so so fitting.

Plath and cats, I think I like you.
