That was his nephew in The Importance...Seems like a really cheerful, good kid. Moz recently introduced him on stage as "his pride and joy" -- a little strange for a nephew, but I get the feeling Morrissey treats him like the son he never had. Even bought him a Pam Anderson poster for his room when he was hormonal.

Morrissey mentioned the terrible news about his cousin at one of the UK shows (I'm sure someone on this board was there). I looked through online gov't homicide stats for Manchester 2005 and tried to cross-reference to newspapers, but couldn't find a story that seemed to fit. I might strike some as morbid, but it's only because I felt bad for him and wanted to know what happened and hopefully who his cousin was as a person.

Trivia: Moz has another cousin in the states that works in the personal fitness industry. Morrissey endorsed him in a little ad at one point (Maladjusted era?)

I see what you're saying, but the guy in The Importance -- who was the little boy in the Suedehead video -- was introduced on stage during <i>this tour</i>, so it's not the family member that was killed last year.

I thought this same boy was on the cover of the Boy Racer single, but it doesn't seem to be the same nephew/cousin. Plus, he would've grown more than that in the 7 years between Suedehead and Southpaw. Perhaps this was the poor lad. I hope not...
