It looked like the Golden Gate Bridge, but I looked up some pictures of it and I don't think that's it.

From what I've read, jumping off a bridge is a bad way to go out, though. From a high enough distance, landing on water is like landing on something solid. Most of the bodies they pull out of the San Francisco Bay have water in their lungs, indicating that the fall just royally fucked them up and that drowning is the actual cause of death.

Is it true that sometimes you go to the bottom and get stuck in the mud?

I'm with you. I don't wanna hit concrete-like water, and if I survived that I sure as hell don't wanna drown. Suicide by cop is tempting (someone did that at the airport here a few weeks ago!), but I'd probably just OD on smack.
