Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower
What a mind-fuck it must have been listening to this on its release ... still doesn't sound dated. It must have been aneurisms ahoy when hearing this following "Wichita Linesman" - type dogshit ...
Gotye - The Only Thing I Know ( live filmed for Triple J TV)
Uber version which significantly improves on the studio effort ...
" ... and now / I can't change / and I think living with your memory / is slowly driving me insane ..."
Can you see it in your heart?
Can you delve so low?
I know why you're dreaming, because it's the only escape
Could it be I like you?
I know why you're dreaming, because it's the only escape
I know why you're dreaming, because it's the only escape
The Next Day - David Bowie (Valentines Day?)
I'm stubborn,selfish, and to old.....
Me too,( the whole album, on you tube).....sounds good so far........no lyrics available, but did he REALLY just sing "taking the Judy down" in that track ???
I know why you're dreaming, because it's the only escape
Can't you feel the weight of my stare
You're so close but still a world away
What I'm dying to say...
sounded like "take your judy down"? whats that mean?
I like this album but why is his voice burried in the mix, anyone else think there are songs on here which would have benefited from quieter music louder Bowie? Valentine's day prime candidate.
I'm stubborn,selfish, and to old.....
I probably shouldn't inform people that I'm rather enjoying David's new album, as he's probably banned from Morrissey concerts too, now (What for, you ask? For upsetting Boz Boorer with his musical creations, probably. Oh Boowoowoof...)
The thing that I like about David is that he's no one trick pony. And maybe it's bloody unfair, but when he comes up with a decent melody, we don't immediately think it wasn't his in the first place...Oh BOOBOO too.
Know what I mean?
