Now listening to Closedown - Sundrown.
the most dreamiest song and I still can't fall asleep![]()
Wheyy! you did it Lindsey!
Closedown - Grain Of Sand.......pure weird, but Cocteau Twins elements throughout. It's just weird!
You simply can't beat the Cocteau Twins, they will always remain in my top 3 favourite bands.

Sparkadia - Love Less Love
"...so if I call late at night,
don't answer the phone,
lie like you're sleeping,
you're better off alone..."
A groovy yet wistful song.
Madonna - What It Feels Like For A Girl
Mostly , I wouldn't mind hearing that Madonna had been taken by a shark, but this song induces a different feeling in me. Why? Firstly, I'm reasonably sure it's not a contrived attempt on my part to appear sensitive to "women's issues". It may be that I like the animosity displayed in the film clip where she shoots some guy ( I think ?) and then runs over some other fellow in a car. Of course, kids, I don't condone that sort of behaviour but , in terms of responses to misogyny, it seems (aesthetically) far more interesting than .... than.... than what ? I don't know... whatever else is usually offered...

Kitchens Of Distinction - Thought He Had Everything
"11am he's already excited
Pacing the flat, runs out to the park
The city is wheezing, in the sun he's breathless
He hits the ground hard, he laughs out loud.
I thought he had everything
11pm he gets too nervous
Even with his friends and beer for company
He runs out of bars to get fresh air
He must get home before he breaks without reason
I thought he had everything
When he's home he plays tapes of 70s records
He stares at the bookshelf, the off TV
He hasn't any reason, no god to believe in
Everything he sings doesn't help any more
But if he was in love
He'd have someone to shout at
When you're in love
You have someone to hit."
