What song are you listening to right now?

Cheers Moz

I cry in my sleep, sometimes you stay
Sometimes you stay, you never know why
Please say my name, don't turn away

The pain is black
The pain is bright
The pain is black
The pain is bright
The pain is bright

Then I awake and in the half light
Watching my movements through half closed eyes
You're touching me as a priest loves pornography
We played beneath the patterns
Don't turn away

The pain is black
The pain is bright
The pain is black
The pain is bright
The pain is bright

Kissed by the years, caresses of time
Marking the lines, the lines of expression
The patterns of place, the patterns of youth
The patterns of love, don't turn away
Say my name, say my name

One of the greatest anti-drug songs of all-time. Written by The Red Hot Chili Peppers shortly after their bandmate Hillel Slovak died of a drug overdose.

"Knock Me Down" by Red Hot Chili Peppers

"It's so Lonely when you don't even know yourself. It's so Lonely."

It's a shame they scrubbed it. Don't understand why they did that.

Well...if he's anything like me...maybe he read the wrong sign that said to, like he got tricked in a way. It sort of makes the song even more special so in the end it'll bite someone in the ass, so not necessarily a bad thing. THese things take time I guess they say.

Was it Morrissey's decision to leave it off? Yeah it does sorta make the song more special. Makes it more of an underappreciated gem!

I remember reading somewhere that the guy who remastered it with him advised him NOT to remove it and he was kinda stern on the idea of removing it. It was an interview with that guy who was a band member who's name escapes me. :o

I'm the worst at names and faces. For the longest time Solomon and Matt were "The one that plays drums and then the other one that plays bass." :D

Or you coulda called them "lawnmower parts" like some posters like to call Mike Joyce & Andy Rourke. Thanks for the info CG. So it was Moz who wanted it taken off. Hmmm, weird. I always thought it was a good song.
