Dreaming myself back to some 20 years ago when I met the band Neds Atomic Dustbin at McDonald's (shame on us) in Stockholm just hours before their gig there which I of course attended. This was just one of many great songs they had. They seemed surprised to meet a fan that was nice and polite:
And I followed it up by a track from a band that I also listened to a lot and saw play live a few times back then. Boo Radley's from scouseland who I first saw live in London 20 years ago.
In 1990 the Compact Disc took over from vinyl for most people in Sweden. My first album on CD that I really listened a lot to was the album "Nowhere" by english band Ride. My best friend back then never liked it and gave it to me and today I regard it as an all time indie classic.
The strange thing was that they visited my small town a few years later and played live in some small club run by a local enthusiastic record shop owner. Walking in to the small venue and seeing the lads from the band Ride sitting their having some drinks was very weird indeed. I guess it was to me then like it would be for most people on this website walking into some venue seeing Morrissey sitting there just like anyone else.
This dreamy and sad track is to me the most beautiful they ever made.
