Upload your file, and the chosen site will act as the server and allow others to download your file/s. Your file is given a web address that is coded so the people who want copies of what you have can access the file. Thats the skinny of it.

thanks. i don't even know my way around my own computer yet. there seems to be several places to store things. in fact many different ways to do everything.
