I remember an online interview with Woodie Taylor where he said he was invited back for the recording of those tracks. It was on Torr's site (torr.org) but it's no longer there.

I also read that interview. If I remember correctly, Woodie said Spencer handled drumming duties for "A Swallow On My Neck" and "Moonriver". Therefore, Woodie was surprised when he got called to play on "Boxers" & the other songs from the fall '94 session.

Granted, my memory may be off.
