Where do you queue for the Olympia? I mean it's practically on the bloody road. Can't be too safe standing out front. What time are you gonna be there?

You queue on the street... down Dame Street.. done that many times.

We'll be driving up from Killarney probably on Good Friday. On the Saturday we'll probably hit one of the bars on Dame Street before hand. I fancy queuing to get as close as possible - me and me mates normally break into two groups at Moz gigs - the ones who like him go to the bar for a few and those who are fanatical queue in the freezing Irish evening.
But, the path is so small!
I thought about getting there at noon on Sunday. or is it too late? I've never been to a Moz show so I have absolutely no idea what to expect
Doors open at 7 I think, so start queueing at 6 to get up front? What's your view on queueing and then your friend hopping in beside you a bit later?
I dunno seeing as it's a small venue. With The Point me and my brother arrived half an hour before the doors opened and we were right at the front. Most people just went to the bar!
Hmm, I'll be in Dublin for the whole weekend so I'm gonna keep an eye on it on Saturday. I'd better try get to the front because I'd like to see at least something as I'm rather small

I've never been to the Olympia, but I'm in the upper circle .. can someone tell me how it's set out? Is that a seating area in an upper deck or something?

Doubt you will need to queue from noon... most Irish people will be in the pub up to the death and run in during the support band. Keep in mind there is not a lot of standing room so getting to the front should not be too difficult. The venue is quite small.

Yup there are 3 tiers... standing, circle and upper.. like any of the old theatres.
By the way, if anyone here would be kind enough to pretend to be my guardian going into the venue on Sunday, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure the kind person next to me in the queue will suffice.

We can all queue on Dame st., we can disguise ourselves as locals...all you need is a baseball cap tracksuit bottoms and a can of dutch gold, fear not Dazzak we'll blend right in...they'll never know we can read.
How do you mean "guardian"? oh shit is it 18+? I'll have to take my ID
Under 18s need an adult. My brother's coming with me on Saturday, but on Sunday my parents are holding back. Bit old for the front, you see.
I'll be Deco, you be Johno. Remember to practise your "Alright, bud?".
well I'm 21 (22 by the time of the show) so it wouldn't be a problem. I'll be on my own anyway. How old are you?

Dangerous thing to do in a Morrissey queue...you could be the recipient of some of the nastiest looks and whispers imaginable.
