Attention!! Help needed!
This is no joke!!
My friend Kevin's application to appear on a quiz show was accepted! He will have to answer loads of questions concerning Morrissey and the Smiths and with a lot of research and a bit of luck he will carry home loads of money (which will undoubtedly be spent on Morrissey memorabilia right away).
I have been declared his official trainer and motivator and as such my first deed is to ask everyone here for help. Please hand in any sort of questions you can think of - the first test round he had to take on the phone was pretty rough though so don't give us any "when's Morrissey's birthday?" kinda rubbish.... And please no time wasting ones like "what was the name of Morrissey's twin brother who died at birth?". Such will be punished with total ignorance.
Alternatively to questions you can also give us additional information which might not be included in any of the books. But nothing too in depth, remember those folks who work out the questions for him at the tv station are only human aswell.
I guess you all realise how special this is..... Okay, you won't see any of the money but you can help Kevin to show the world how interesting our hero is. Well maybe not the world but a few Germans who happen to be watching tv in the afternoon :-)
Fortunately we have until February to revise. The show will be recorded over four days and televised God knows when. So if you can think of some, take your time, work them out and send them to me or alternatively to Kevin himself at Westhamkevin@aol.com. He doesn't have regular internet access though, but everything I get I will pass on to him. Please note that we don't intend to send you answers to these questions, we just need a guide for him to pick up as much information as he can. He's quite good already - he's a walking talking Morrissey history book and has a collection worth about 8000 $. But this is serious....
Sometime between now and Feb we will show up in the chatroom. I will let you know the date and time in advance and it would be nice if a lot of you would joyn us to ask Kevin real time questions and to see how well he's doing already.
Until then, cross your fingers for him on Sunday because he has to pass a screen test..... But with his photogenic Morrisseyesque quiff I'm sure he'll do just fine.
And no doubt that if he gets through to the last round he'll be up there with the living legends.....David T.....Julia Riley....
