Glad to hear the ex-NME staff admit to it bald-faced once and for all -- they put Moz on a pedestal for years only to hack him down (hack being the operative word).

Not a big fan of John Harris, but his one line about "it was like killing your dad!" was quite dramatic.

I disagree with the current editor at NME who talked about Morrissey wanting to appeal to the younger generation. It was more like he wanted to remind people who'd once been fans that he was still around, as excite the people who were loyal all along. The young generation refers more to the young bands that were into him.
