They're not stupid, they know that an audio stream on the net will find its way into the hands of fans instantly.
It's not like everyone here isn't going to buy the fucking record the day it comes out. I downloaded the Quarry leak and bought the record in both CD and vinyl format.

Yeah you know, I even am a victim of Major Lable downsizing here in NYC. But i didnt lose my job because of illeagal downloading, I lost it because 1) major labels are releasing crap and 2) major lables refuse to charge a reasonable price for downloads! 99 cents a track? I may as well buy the CD, rip it, and then sell the cd.
Until lables charge a blanket license thru your ISP (a-al BMI or ASCAP) of say $5 a month, they can kiss my ass.
