Hello Bluebirds. Here is my interpretation:

"But destiny for some is to end lives BUT THERE IS NO END" --

I believe he is talking about war. Those who have a hand in wars. Leaders
and dictators historically have done so and they will continue to do so. I
think Morrissey believes in predestination. But is evil you are, or something
you do?

"And if your God bestows protection upon you
And if the U-----S-----A---- doesn't bomb you
I believe I will see you " --

Notice he says YOUR God and not GOD. Perhaps meaning he
has no God or that his God is different from his friend.
He may be speaking to a friend in the Middle East.
God comes in many forms, yet some believe He is One.

Well, I think pulling faces is another way of saying making faces, sometimes
children do that when the camera is pointed at them. However, I think he is speaking
to an adult -- an aquaintance.

I like the song very much. The production is beautiful. His voice sounds amazing and
that's all I care about.

The empathy you can feel for people thousands of miles away sometimes even though you only see them through the camera?
