I think it was 1994 when I cycled all 113 miles of the 5th stage of the Tour de France when Le Tour had 2 stages in the UK - a Sussex stage and a Hampshire stage.
It was just like the 'Stop me video' only bigger!

Lol, it's like the Python sketch where Terry Jones' character is trying to leap the North Sea. I wonder if they'll be wearing full diving gear.
I guess they'll then take Le Tunnel for the next leg of the tour. I seem to remember Morrissey saying something at the time that it was built, along the lines of 'I firmly believe that tunnel will collapse'.
I thought he knew something we didn't.
