I first saw Moz in 2002 when I was 16, and I managed to see him three times on last year's tour. I slept in Manchester station, spent all my money on train fares , and went to Earls Court all alone when no one would come with me just to see him, and now I can't get tickets for any of the palladium shows despite having been sat at the computer at 8.45, ready and waiting.
A familiar story I'm sure, and though its probably a tad hypocritical (since when Moz was going through a barren period in the 90's I only ever had the best of The Smiths on tape, I was only 12!) I can't help thinking its a shame that now he's in the limelight I've lost out on a ticket!selfish i know....
When I saw him in 2002 a large part of what made the evening so special was I realised just how passionate Moz fans are. Its still the most exciting concert I've ever been too. Now some Hard-Fi Fan has bought all the tickets up cos the NME told him too!!!!!
