are we in the dark ages of porn?

Most pop psychologists argue that men are more stimulated by images and women are more stimulated by words, which is why, Playboy is as popular as the romance novels.

But ask yourself, what are women given in terms of seeing pictures of naked men? It is, after all, not an evolved art like what is available for men with mood lighting, soft pillows, red lipstick, and stilletos.

As being a person who has not subscribed to Playgirl, I look at the other images we are left with and here is what I find:

Mr. Universe type men with disproportionately large muscles, too stiff to be able to walk at speeds faster than an 87 year old with a cane, oiled up adding extra gleam to the protruding veins all over their body.

Men dressed up like members of the Village People

Men standing there fully naked with a dorky smile on their face, giving the aura that he just had a few too many beers and is now going to go streak through the neighbor's backyard.

For whatever reason, the powers that be think that women find this sexy. Given a choice between that, and romance novels, which do you think women prefer?

Heh, my turn to jump on YOUR thread!

why don't you come out and say what YOU would like to see?

I don't know, is there such a thing as 'porn' for females? I mean, as in the way it exists for men - Let's be blunt - plenty of guys are known to put on their best video as stare intently at it while, umm, doing things.

But, most females I know that masturbate do so strictly with their imagination - so it seems that females tend to be more creative in their fantasies... Which makes it much hard to create porn that would be compelling - Plus, I think female fantasies probably varies much more wildly than male fantasies - I think they are probably more elaborate - Or I could be wrong -

I believe there is such a thing as porn for females, only its about as easy to find as the end of the rainbow...sigh

Attractive men with ERECT penis's might be a swing in the right direction though!

After all a hard man is good to find...

Hee hee, That's true - Even I can see that there is nothing remotley sexual or attractive about seeing some guys flacid shlong hanging out - (like that pic Tyler Durden inserted into the childrens movie in 'Fight Club') - Yuck.

Well...the musclehead oiled up hardbodies stuff is largely sold to gay men, not women.

*the entrance music begins, as the discussion ensues. And guess who re-enters the arena after a long disappearance!* MANI!

Women want the romance novel, but prefer the porn. Why? They figure the loverman in The Bridges of Madison County is really the Australian on the Cover of April 99 with the computer-doctored 11 inch schlong.

There are two types of men. The macho men with no heart and no brains, and the heartful braniacs that can barely lift the liner notes in a Morrissey record.

There is no best-of-both-worlds, but women can fantasize over it by staring at an issue of Playgrrrl, and not worry about Dirk Diggler having an opinion if he's just a piece of paper.
