The downward spiral of "Discussion Board"

I, too, am one of those who use to come around here frequently, and I have noticed the increased volume of degenerates lurking about. The reason is simple: the internet is increasingly becoming available to any and all. So "any and all" are now posting here. It's a matter of easier access, which may not be a good thing.

i think the best thing to be done is to simply post worthwhile topics of discussion, consequently outweighing the rubbish.

calling attention to the issue (which we're all aware of) doesn't seem to detract the offenders... (just the opposite)

What is this type of thinking? Are we going to ban people from
using the internet/moz-solo because you don't agree with them
or don't like them? First off, it won't happen and second off,
if you don't like what they're saying..ignore it! It's only
a flippin message board! Don't take it so seriously..as long
as i've been here, the board has been like this and i don't
see any difference..and secondly, there are people in all our
lives who we don't like or don't agree with and so basically
your saying.,.i don't like them, let's shove them away because
i have a different opinion. It's called free speech..but it's
pointless arguing..it's a silly arguement, remember it's only
a internet message board..don't take it so seriously.

Lazy, it sounds like you're the one taking things a little too seriously. My point, which was actually just a casual observation, is that in last year internet access has increased to everyone. This lets in varying degrees of trash who have no valid point to make about anything whatsoever. These are not people who simply disagree with a particular view...I think you know what I mean. At any rate, the point still stands: they will always be here, because someone will always defend them and/or respond to their posts.

This just opens the doors for posters who don't even know who Morrissey is and post only for the shock effect. We *have* ignored, but it seems some people get off on seeing their rudenes in print.

I'M tired of the tiresome, oh so tiresome people who will not cease to post messages about the dreadful state of the board. I assume everyone who is posting these thinks that due to this everyone will have full Morrissey content in all their posts and the abusers will stop their...abusing.

I think every possible Morrissey question or comment has been drained in this long period of inactivity. I'm certain once he steps into action again the board will be restored to it's former glory. But honestly, who really cares? It's a sodding message board for God's sake, why are people going on like it's the collapse of society?

It had to be said. After all, around 30% of messages being posted now are on the state of the board. I'm sure everyone's got the picture now. And God, it's so boring!

Someone somewhere cares. If you aren't interested in Morrissey, I can see why you feel the status quo is sufficient.

Now you've got the picture!! Even when Morrissey was last touring this board was involved in off topic/off color discussions, and the man was virtually ignored. His inactivity has had no real effect on this board. The Tour Board handled that traffic when he was touring..

Maybe this board should be renamed the Off Topic Board so no one would be misled as to its content.
