Morrissey's sexuality

Okay, I haven't a clue how many times this must have been touched on allready, but heres my thoughts on this.
First of all I realise that by even posting this message i'm promoting the stupid gossip that distances us from Morrisseys music, but I must get this out.
Morrissey seems to be more of an observer in his songwriting. There is no indication that because morrissey wrote a song about somebody who seems gay, that he himself is gay. I mean, is Morrissey a girl?
Is he Asian? Does he really require the use of a wheel chair?
There is nothing even hinting at Morrissey's sexualtiy in any of his songs. Think about this for a minute.
I decieded to post this because of a conversation I had with a friend of mine who is gay, he said 1)Girls may like Morrissey too, but only boys, and especially gay boys could ever really GET the music. 2) That if Morrissey were to come out and say he was straight he would feel betrayed.

I don't understand how people can be so elitest about his music, it simply makes no sense to me.

I think he leaves so much room for interpretation that it's compatible to everyone. The question is not whether you can "understand" what he writes, but whether you're able to give it an individual meaning in your life.

I won't dare to give away theories concerning his sexuality, only one thing is for sure - he's not straight. But whether he's bi, gay or indeed asexual is his secret and quite frankly his business only and makes no difference to what he means to me.

I guess that he is gay or bi... He is very discret about it, but you don't need to be a genius to note it.

Yes i would say he likes a bit of both,you know he plays for manchester united one week and manchester city the next.

I have a smiths book where johnny marr says "well morrissey is celibate but has had lots of girlfriends and quite a few men friends"

That says it all really, who cares what he does and who he does it to.I just hope he doesn't do a george micheal and get his lad out infront of anyone :0)
