Default f.a.o All American Listeners. I'm not being facetious but do you really have a gb for the dead?

I read something about Jeffrey Swahfega and noted that people had made fairly unkind comments.

This is foreign to me and I would presume everyone else in this country.

Do you have a guestbook in funeral parlours to post comments for the deceased?

    Weird or what?

    Default Yes, Irene. It's true.

That poor dead man, Jeffrey Swegan, was the sister of our Jehne--realitybites. I remember when she first came into the chatroom, saying 'my poor sweet brother has killed himself.' I was heartbroken, and still am.

I don't understand why people have written such terrible things. I presume it's because Jehne and her husband-whom-she's-met-twice, Alan Angerbauer, of Northern Arizona University, have tried to destroy the chatroom using a variety of unethical methods.

And yes, it's become common practice in American funeral parlors to include such things.

Did you see what LoafingOaf wrote, though? Bastard.

    Here is dead Jeffy's obituary--

And here is an article on the strange place where he's buried--

Can't even be sure which grave to cry on.

    FUCK.

I did read what loafing oaf wrote amongst others, that is why I thought it was a joke.

Obviously sadder than I thought if this is for real.

I think its sicker than sick a funeral parlour allowing such comments against a deceased individual.

It is a joke isn't it?

    Surely, NOT EVEN IN AMERICA.

Yes, there is customerily a guestbook present at the funeral parlour and, later, at the ceremony itself. I was thinking of this, oddly enough, the other night (All Saints') -- when it occured to me that, outside my immediate family + some friends, I do not remember any of those in attendance at my father's funeral, despite the church being overfull; I wonder if my wicked stepmother held on to the book, filing it betwixt those of her other husbands.

And I didn't leave that comment at the website.

It did surprise me seeing your name amongst the mourners, I must say.

Maybe half of the mourners didn't really attend either, a little like the Manchester Evening News not too long ago.

You've got to laugh though, if someone puts such a site on this internutty world, what do they expect?

Thanks for the reply Cod, I'm off to slumber now.
