Is it worthwhile?

I am sick of trying to buy tickets on ticketmaster. For the last 4 concerts I have tried to buy, I had presale info and even after that during the regular sales all I ever seem to get are the nosebleed seats. Nothing on the floor or remotely close. What is up with that? How do others get great seats they don't even want and then sell and the only ones that I can get should have a telescope included so as to see the people on stage.

I did some searching and find people selling "secret" books on what to do.
Has anyone heard of or tried them?
