Default Horrible picture in local paper

There's no way for me to post it here, but i applaud the bravery of the journos to print it ... basically it's a picture of a dead Dalmatian puppy, hanging by it's neck from a tree. The accompanying story defends using shock tactics as part of an ongoing campaign to get funding for an RSPCA centre in South Yorkshire.
But really, i'm only posting this because i'm shocked that anyone would be sick enough to hang such a gorgeous animal. I also reckon that stopping animal cruelty is not just about promoting vegetarianism or targeting corporations, it's about targeting the sodding delinquents knocking about the streets that don't seem to give a shit how much suffering they inflict on animals or people.
It's really beyond me to comprehend how a person could justify torturing another living thing, but sadly i'm starting to hear about it all too often; putting a rabbit in microwave, shooting a cat with a crossbow ... do these psychos then graduate on to people?
Britain's youth has gone to the dogs ... and it'd be better if the dogs ran for the hills.

One day I was blissfully reading the paper and turned the page to see a dead, pregnant spaniel being pulled out of a river where it had been tied down with bricks. It's totally barbaric. My law teacher didn’t agree with me, but I think such acts should be a level crime with murder, it's the same intent and deliberate action, I can sooner justify crimes of passion than this kind of crap, especially since i have 14 week old staff.

I've seen the picture, very disturbing, it's just terrible what some people will do for fun. Worryingly I've just been on another band site where somebody thinks it's funny, so maybe that kind of person isn't in as much of a minority as you'd hope.

I can't imagine anyone thinking that picture as funny.

Sadly, people who do this kind of thing do go on to harming people.
I can't bring any exact situations to mind, but I do recall stories of serial killers and such, that in their past as children they were known to torture animals.

As with anything, the thrill has to be satisfied. First it's flies, then mice, etc etc...

As John the Revelator said:"He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus"

I sort of agree, if you have it in you to hang a dog, the you have it in you to kill a human

I'm not sure really pictures like that certainly make you wonder what sort of scum do stuff like that.

Sadly this is the way Galgos (Spanish greyhounds) are killed after the hunting season in Spain. It is particularly cruel because they are hanged close to the ground barely off their toes.
