Do any Moz fans like me like the band Jawbreaker?

I have been away for awhile, but now I am back.. Colleen please email me I have alot to tell you.
But anyway have you guys heard the band Jawbreaker? They broke up in 96 I think, they are from california/new york. Great band.. You Guys should listen to them, big Morrissey fans they are. I met Blake(singer guitar) at a show in 94 and I had a Morrissey shirt on and that is all he talked about.. anyway after Jawbreaker broke up he(Blake) formed Jets To Brazil, which was another great band but broken up aswell I think as of 02? Jawbreaker and Jets To Brazil lyrics are very Moz like and in interviews Blake talks about his love for The Smiths..

great band

jawbreaker played out here in the san francisco bay area all the time. very melodic with excellent vox - not a description you hear of most bands in their genre. they were great on record and excellent live. their last album which was on geffen, "dear you", is a great listen; should you like that, chances are you will enjoy most of their catalogue. to top it off, they were incredibly cool people, very down to earth.

I very well agree poprenaissance, "Dear You" is a fantasitc album, I know Blakes voice is very raspey but I love it.. "24 Hour Revenge" is great to. I love the song "In Sadding Around"..

Jawbreaker!

Jawbreaker was one of my favorite bands during my high school years. I liked Jets To Brazil when they first came out -- I think that was around 98 -- but I lost interest pretty quickly. Still, both bands are very nostalgic for me, even though I haven't listened to either in years.

I actually never knew Blake was a big Smiths/Moz fan.

Blake had that voice operation in between "Bivouac" and "Dear You" that made his voice less raspy.

Jets to Brazil actually sucked. They were a cheap Love and Rockets rip off band. Of course they had to be "influenced/big fans of morrissey" right? great marketing ploy. I'll bet no one in the f***ing band even knows a note of his music?

you are wrong "Your Pimpness" When I met Blake in 94 and at the "Jets" show he remimbered me with the Morrissey shirt on from 94. and I disagree with you. Have you heard "King Medicine" or "I Typed For Miles" by Jets To Brazil?
