The Smiths/Morrissey cover band, The Sweet and Tender Hooligans, played a warm- up gig in Whittier, California to a young Spring- Break crowd last night.
The band is preparing for the 2-day Smiths/Morrissey Convention at the Palace in Hollywood, CA April 24-25.
Lead singer Jose Maldonado also stayed for a guest appearance for two songs with another rockabilly band whose name unfortunately escapes me. They played "The Loop" and the Chuck Berry classic, "Johnny B. Good".
