    (This probably won't make you cry, but it has the most devastatingly bleak ending you're ever likely to see. And a fantastic Morricone score.)

    "Our Friends in the North"
    (OK - I know this isn't a film, but it's the best TV drama ever made, and I've cried on repeated viewings of the last episode.)

    yep I think i did too, but it's one of the only films that comes to mind when asked the 'cry' question, oddly enough!
