Default Kevin Spacey in Richard II

Would love to go and see it (its on at the Old Vic) cos I love Kevin Spacey but havent read Richard II - is it any good? Have only spoke to 2 people who have read it and they say its crap, Richard III much better but then Kevin Spacey would have been a hunchback so maybe thats why he didnt do that one. Is it even bearable or would being in the same room as Kevin Spacey not make up for the boring play? Oh the dilemma!

You should definitely go (I’ll be getting my ticket as soon as they go on sale on Monday morning!). I haven’t read Richard II either, but both times I’ve seen Kevin Spacey on stage (in ‘The Iceman Cometh’ in NY a few years ago, and in ‘National Anthems’ at the Old Vic earlier this year) he’s been electric. I’m absolutely convinced he could transform even the dullest of plays into a masterpiece.

God, I wish I could go.
    I'm in another continent.
Don't miss it, it must be great.
Two of my favourite things - Kevin Spacey and Shakespeare.
Will he do or has he done Hamlet yet?

Not a big fan of Shakespeare myself, that's why I was asking but I love Kevin sooooooo much he is fab. Am miles away myself, well 4 hours on a train but I've done it for Moz so I can do it for Kev. Problem now, who can I persuade to go with me?
