They weren't always a giant band earning a lot of money though.
That's talking silly.
They only became a giant band as obviously, many did relate to their music.

In a way you are right.
I was born in 59 so a little too young to really appreciate the earliest Led Zep material.
I was introduced to them by someone older than myself.
Nevertheless I was 16 in 1975 when they released Physical Graffiti which is still my all time favourite album of theirs.
Surely that is not too young. .
Most of their original fans would be between 50 and 55 I'd say.
If you follow the reasoning.
I enjoyed a lot of punk too.
Enjoying one form of music, should not exclude any other though.
