Default Led Zep no doubt they were a big selling group but Marr/Rourke/Joyce were not really into them??

    Don't think Moz was either??
You see there may be like a million Punk bands that sell nothing!! that are poor!! but they make their music!! they love their music!! short quick songs DIY and in cool small smokey venues.
Led Zep was a giant band earning A LOT of money going around in costum made planes to big stadium gigs!! who can relate to that??
Prog rock and Heavy rock. Some of it is just noise with VERY accumplished guitar player technically very good with good equipment. Some of Prog rock went on for hours. Led Zep are Heavy rock like Judas Priest and they can be quite dark too a touch of the dark side a bit Goth even!!
Punk would seem such a breath of fresh air if that was all you had!!
Maybe Marr, Rourke, Joyce and Moz were too young for Led Zep? I think they were to be honest!!
Not even sure if Marr and Rourke even liked British Punk that much again I think they were too young for Punk!! I think Rourke likes The Clash in retrospect though. But Joyce and Moz like Punk they must of!!
They had many great, great influences though!!! going back even to their childhoods and the 1960s!!! And I know Andy Rourke likes the funny film 'Spinal Tap'!! tee hee

Me and Robert Plant were both born on the same day August 20th!! NOT the same year though!! I like to sing too but that is all we have in common.
I share my birthday with a LOT of singers even Thin Lizzy's singer and bass player Phil Lynott my he rest in peace!! 'Boys are back in town' great by Thin Lizzy.

I shouldn't have to tell you there are two kinds of suck and it just so happens Andy and Mike aren't the fun one.

Good to know that, we wouldn't want you obsessing over one more talented musician. Change the subject, dear.

They weren't always a giant band earning a lot of money though.
    That's talking silly.
They only became a giant band as obviously, many did relate to their music.

    Absolutely nothing like Judas Priest.
    Listen to some Zeppelin Andy.

In a way you are right.
I was born in 59 so a little too young to really appreciate the earliest Led Zep material.
I was introduced to them by someone older than myself.
Nevertheless I was 16 in 1975 when they released Physical Graffiti which is still my all time favourite album of theirs.
Surely that is not too young. .
Most of their original fans would be between 50 and 55 I'd say.
    If you follow the reasoning.

I enjoyed a lot of punk too.

Enjoying one form of music, should not exclude any other though.
