Yes Manchester is getting it's own "Hall of Fame" type thing for famous people from Manchester! Yes you just have to be famous and come loosly from the Manchester/Salford area to quilify!
Their will be a "Walk" of Fame with stars just like in Hollywood!!
I am looking forward to a "Gaurman's Chinese Theatre" type thing like in the Hollywood Boulevard! They could have it in Manchester's famous 'China Town' area!!!

Rowetta will of cause be one of the stars on the walk of fame! Do you have any favorite famous residents from the loosly Manchester/Salford area dead or alive? they don't have to be even living in Manchester now to qualify just real assosiations with the great city!!!!
There is something in the water in those parts!! I blame the Pendle Hills!!
(What i mean by the loosly Manchester area that all of Greater Manchester and Salford taking in sourouding couties such as: Lancashire itself, Cheshire, Derbyshire, parts of Yorkshire: West and South riding, Merseyside, even North Wales and Staffordshire!) (and you don't have to of been born in Manchester or be living there now just have real assosiations with the great city!)
I LOVE MANCHESTER!
They got rid of "BelleVewe" zoo and amusments their answer to "Disneyland" sadly.
(Manchester will be more than the rock n roll capital of Britain. It will be a whole show biz land! the BBC TV are getting stronger in Manchester and there is Granada, Britain's answer to Hollywood is of cause used as a film location but just needs a few more proper film studios!)
On one of the big hills that soround Manchester I want to see the big letters spelling out MANCHESTER!!!!

You win the oscar.
That really is the best yet!
BRAVO!
I'll be first in line for a ticket on the opening night.
Then I'll more than likely end up last in line, but hey!

My Uncle and 8 cousins (very Catholic) still live in and around the Sretford area.

Strange my Aunt and Uncle also live in Manchester near Andy Rourke! my Aunt and Uncle are also VERY Catholic!! A lot of Irish/Catholics in Manchester they help bring some of the music and poetry there!!!
Manchester is very multi-culteral though!, although not as much as London.

Curiously enough, I have 8 cousins in the Manchester area too, though their father is dead, as mentioned above.
What is it with the number 8? Weird or what?
Irish Catholic background as well.

will it be shaped like a toilet?

we have a "walk of fame" in Austin with famous Texans. it's located next to a bunch of dumpy warehouse buildings in the downtown area.

a hall of fame is in a hall. a walk of fame is something you walk on such as a sidewalk.
