I must say, I think they're dull. It's bizarre that a band who freely admit to ripping off Beatles songs wholesale featured in such close proximity to the originals in Channel 4's 100 Greatest Albums thing.
They are a good tribute band.

so do a lot of bands mate, oasis admit to it where as others dont.i mean im not saying oasis are the greatest ever they've released some crap.

as for the poll oasis having two albums in the top twenty and the smiths scraping in at 20...hmmmm funny that.

not band for a tribute band eh ?

Well, in fairness, Mahoney, Robbie Williams scored very highly in best single of the last 25 years recently with the execrable "Angels". I think these polls always go for more recent stuff than the 80's Smiths era.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy listening to Oasis a lot more than the likes of Coldplay and The Stereophonics. At least the Manc lads have a bit of swagger and charisma about them.

The album prior to "Be Here Now" is excellent.

Sorry, blank mind..you know the one with "Don't Look Back in Anger", "Wonderwall" and "Roll With It" on.

    Superb!

"Be Here Now" was good too, but not as (good that is)

I will definitely buy the new album and all the singles that will come out (the last one doesn't drive me crazy though), Noel writes the best b-sides ever. I think everyone's too affected by the band's personality and forgets about the Music: they've learnt enough from the Beatles to play really good stuff, even after Morning Glory. And, despite the general opinion, they are not twats.
