    Default morrissey's band

well, i read comments over comments on this site which are telling, that his band are just session musicians. they are uninspired and etc.
read that butler fool, saying he doesn't like their smiths versions.
well! i just listened to beethoven was dead's the loop and they turned it into a real live beast. as well they done great well with jack the ripper.
and concerning 'm' it's a strong record as well.
so when will people ever stop complaining?
they have done a great job. in the past. and now.

    that's what i think.

they really have taken jack the ripper a long way from the somewhat uninspired studio version, and far past the take from beethoven/world of morrissey as well.

also, listening to songs like november/such a little thing played live between then and now, there is no contest.

I think they performed and looked great on the WPTMIM DVD. They look so classy in those suits. I don't think subtleness should be mistaken for a lack of enthusiasm. I was impressed.

    the performance was impressive.
look at boz leaving the stage balancing his guitar while knowing he is filmed. quite cool, don't you think. but that's for me not as important as the music... i guess 'm' is all in all the best live document ever released by morrissey.

    Well I enjoyed it too.
    I thought it very impressive.
As I say, there are some odd folk on here.

I loved that exit by Boz too!

I thought that Alan and Gary looked like true gentlemans. It was refreshing to see such a display of class, in a time when many musicical artists are rewarded for being crude and rude. I also loved when Deano tossed his drum sticks into the audience.

I am no expert, but the audio seemed excellent on the DVD. I was also impressed by the performances of "Rubber Ring" and "The Headmaster Ritual" -- two of my favorite Smiths songs.
