The report in today's MEN said he wasn't there. Here is the online review of the gig though the bit about Morrissey not being there is not included for whatever reason.

The report on here said he was with Linder whereas the person on Popbitch said he was with his sister. Conclusion is two different people saw him last night at the show? So the likelihood is he was there? Maybe the journalist wasn't sitting in the right place.

Yes = he definitely was. My good friend Nancy confirmed it tonight!

Photos to come!

Shame about Nick being thrown out into the 4th song.. for standing up and dancing to Let Me Kiss You (and appearing to enjoy himself). She'd previously ignored him when he went to the stage for a hand-shake. However, think he was pleased to get his signed copy of nancy's Playboy.

Poor Nick. Thrown out for looking like he was enjoying himself.

I forgot to mention the duet with her father. AT first I thought she was lip-synching to Ole Blue Eyes, but then realised she was singing in tandem. Nice idea, but I think it's been done before.

The Strawberry Duck

I am planning a trip to The Strawberry Duck one sunny Sunday afternoon. I fancy a change from the usual Holcome Brook walk and then off to Raglan.

How easy is it to get to from (say) Bury?

And is it in good walking territory?

Cheers

Re: The Strawberry Duck

erm from Bury, it's a bit of an hike, actually from anywhere it's a bit of a hike. From Holcombe you'd have to head for Edgeworth & then over towards Darwin (a bit) it's in Entwistle. Ya best bet is to get the bus to Bolton & get the train to Entwistle, drops you bang on the door step of the SD, they do BnB but didn't ask the prices, we just had a meal & a few light ales, bloody marvelous! What's that pub at Holcombe brook called, you know the big one set slightly off the main road, you can either go up to Holcombe hill or down to Rammy, or t'other way down Brangy rd or up to Totty etc, it's mithering the hell out of me?

Interview with Camille Paglia? I want this issue!

I do not know which is the more pathetic: Nancy au naturel or the fact that I REALLY DO read Playboy for the articles.

Re: The Strawberry Duck

Cheers for that Grim (a bit late!)

I think the pub you are thinking of is the "Shoulder of Mutton", not a name you would want to remmember. I personally can't stand the place (too many family trips with pushchairs and brats), but it's in a good location if you fancy a pint after doing Holcombe. Either that or one that I can't think of the name of!!!

I saw him riding a bike through Hume while drinking a bottle of white lightning cider and singing My old mans a dustmen.

P.S Notice where I left the bike?
