as you haven't shown me the courtesy of responding to
my questions on the site, perhaps you will be man
enough to respond to this email.
I have made my position clear regarding my attitude
towards homophobic posts being allowed to remain on
the site, be it the Guestbook or anywhere else.
You have been quick enough to delete my posts whenever
the content of them has offended you, so why did it
take my intervention to draw attention to the
homophobia that blights the Guestbook in particular?
Rain Man has been allowed to post racist, homophobic
and just plain offensive messages on the Guestbook for
over two years, and he has NEVER been censured or
confronted by you.
You may not approve of my methods, when it comes to
getting your attention, but I am so heartily fed up of
the continuing double standards being applied.
I expect you to ignore this email, as I imagine that
you are hoping that the forthcoming Draconian measures
you are about to introduce will rid you of me once and
for all.
Most of the tinkering you have done with the site,
and, I suspect, most of the new changes you are
planning on introducing, have been aimed specifically
at preventing me from using this site.
Precisely because you have taken such a myopic
attitude, and become obsessed with my so-called
'abuses' of your site, you have completely lost
perspective and are now unable to see the forest for
the tree.
You may be the webmaster and site owner of
Morrissey-solo, but the fact that you have placed it
on the Web means that it now occupies a public space,
and I am perfectly entitled to visit, whether you like
it or not.
My point relating to your use of Morrissey's name,
while allowing such sickening homophobia to be
displayed, is a valid one.
I am sure he would be appalled by this.
Perhaps you are happy for that to be the case, as part
of your revenge for him cutting you out, due to
previous site content that he found personally
upsetting.
Anyway, just so you know, until I see evidence that
you are taking this matter seriously, I will continue
to combat it myself, using all means at my disposal.

Maybe David T - unlike yourself - has a life. He could be away visiting relatives or on holiday. he does have a day job too you know. Is he supposed to just come home and pour over every line, every guestbook or journal or whatelse there is on here (most of which I have never looked at)
I have two further thoughts - firstly I often wonder what David really thinks about continuing this site. He clearly loves the job and does a great job. but what does he get for his trouble and pains? he gets childish crap from so called fans day in day out abusing not only other fans but david himself. I have nothing but 100% respect for the bloke.
My final point is if you are so unhappy with the site and David, go and produce your own site and let us know the address so we can flood it with cack and then demand you do exactly what we say or face a public slagging off.
I in no way support any kind of discrimination on this or any site (unless directed at man u fans) and havent read what you have as i dont go to guestbooks or whatever. But David is not responsible nor liable for content written by other people. Please direct your displeasure elsewhere

I've seen you at the S&G, and I was struck by how much you resemble Neanderthal Man.
It does concern me slightly that you have become involved in the dispute, as you have one of those faces that no amount of blows could make a difference to, therefore I imagine you would become quite violent fairly quickly were an argument to develop between us at the weekend.

Sadly Goat you are wrong. Where a website owner/publisher is located, on holiday, with relatives, in the UK or over there in the US, a person can still request to have information/material removed from a website if that person finds said material to be offensive (to them) or if the material is factually inaccurate. And remember, not so long ago, David T had others hitting him for the complete lack of control on this message board. But, obviously, in response, the owner of the website is allowed reasonable time to change this information - something like 5 working days is satisfactory - but the jist of the point in question is that the owner of the website IS responsible for the material contained (and published) on his website.

Don't you recall the legal letter David T received ? If you are a friend of David T then you should put yourself forward to manage these posts, so stories like this and that, all the rubbish and untruths and comments which are contained here, can be removed and removed promptly and give you more things to do than buying postcards.

I have met David about 5 maybe 6 times on tours and have chatted and shared car journeys etc.
I wouldnt put myself up as a moderator as i have lots of other things going on with music / football (i'm on a few supporters committes etc) not to mention having 2 young children to spend time with as well so time spent here is short. i also wouldnt have a clue what is rumour / truth as far as comments posted anyway!
