hey folks: what did i do??? i just mentioned that i never heard any morrissey-song before and that i maybe should... i didnt insult u or something. i just dont understand the whole beating-up-a-band-thing... we should be happy that some bands out there keep on making real music while britney spears rules the charts.

I wonder why the Cure and Morrissey/The Smiths are sometimes lumped together by people? Maybe "lumped together" isn't quite the right phrase, but I think you all know what I'm getting at. The music isn't similar and the lyrics/themes aren't very similar either, for the most part. Is it just because of the fact that they are both British and from approx. the same era??

well apparently either we got too carried away or a nasty thread got in the way and that triggered it...
cure rules (better said, ruled...and it's great they're still around)....but try to go to the cure board please if u havent even heard any moz stuff....if u are interested, for a start you can get hold of Morrissey's 'bona drag', 'my early burglary years' or 'beethoven was deaf', or be on the look for his forthcoming album (yeah right) and then maybe we can talk...
Just one last question: havent u even heard about the Smiths either? Were have you been/how old are u?
