Hi all,

I am going to L.A. at the end of june and would like to see Morrissey's home there. Not to bother him but just to have a look!

I read somewhere that his house previously belonged to Clark Gabble? Is that correct?

Thanks in advance!

No, it belonged to Clark Gable. Ha ha! but seriously folks, didn't some clever person say the Gable connection was invented to mislead fans? It might be easier if you look for the house between Donald Sutherland's and Johnny Depp's (which is perhaps another red herring.)

All I have to say about it is: If you think you can find Moz's house by researching where Clark Gable used to live, well, good luck! You will NEVER find it. I must have read 10 books about Clark Gable in order to figure out where he used to live. I don't give a damn about Clark Gable or Carole Lombard, either, but now I know ALL about their lives. I went down to Hollywood to get a "Star Map" to find Johnny Depp's house and Clark Gable's old house. No luck. Don't waste your time trying to find out with this info. And the house where Moz supposedly now lives is not on ANY star map, nor is the address to be found on any web site or in any book about Clark Gable or Carole Lombard. I think either it was a lie Moz told, or some real estate agent fed Moz a load of crap. Some people know where Morrissey lives, but we won't tell, will we???

Just kidding...I don't know where he lives, either...hmmmm...

Moz lives in the thriving metropolis called Baker. It is about 2 hours east of Los Angeles, down the highway 15. His house is right off the main road behind "The Mad Greek." I'm not too sure why Mozza chose this particular spot to settle down, but I'm sure it has to do with the fact that it's home to the worlds tallest thermometer. Quite phallic actually, it should be part of the 7 wonders of the world. But if you have any trouble locating his home, just ask for "Gloria" at the AM PM market, and she will lead you in the right direction.

Thriving metropolis, my ass! I remember that place! Why in the hell would he live there and why should we believe you? I can't imagine Moz, a guy who has lived in huge cities and likes to be surrounded by shows and Starbucks, would pick up and move to the middle of the desert.

Oxnard is a city in California, near LA.

As for ME, I've never really figured out the exact meaning of SAMPO.
(uh-oh...I feel a thread comin' on...).

It's good, but possibly not....

I think you are right about Moz using red herrings in order to protect his address. In many ways this is completely understandable. No one enjoys privacy and solitude more than he does.
And all potential snoopers should respect his right to privacy.

I think the day this site posts his REAL address, is the day he is going to pack his old kit bag and sing 'It's A Long Way To Piccadilly Manchester'.

However saying that he is not that mega or that important in the scheme of things that he can't be more approachable, his fans or his bread and butter and maybe he could set up a kind of 'clinic' where he could keep in touch with his fans and get to know them beyond signing his name on t-shirts.

No one is that important that they have to completely cut themselves off from the people admire them. Come on Stevie! Roll on down to the local Starbucks and start holding regular conventions so you get to know the people who put you W H E R E Y O U A R E T O D A Y !!!

They deserve it!

yeah, i totally heard the same clark gable story, but i was watching on of those fix up the old house shows and it just so happened to be clark gables. they were fixing it up for the next perspective buyer(keep in mind ithis was a while ago) so i dont know if they were fixing it up for morrissey because they said they couldnt say who it was gonna be for and @#!!! like that. or maybe he had just moved out another herring. the world shall never know... but hopefully we can !
