Morrissey is for animal rights..and thats good.
but he is still a capitalist pig that would never open his fat trap about the horrible situation of inequity in the global community. Animal rights is "safe" becuase it doesnt challenge the institutional arrangements of society. After all he is an elitist. I have U2 and Bono is a dickhead, but at least he is using his fame to promot a real cause that will help human beings not just f***ing animals.

The big issue with our four legged friends is though, people like you seem to disregard them.

Now, if they could speak for themselves and wield their might, we would all be in shit street basically.

Ever taken a tiger on, or a mad monkey for that matter.
Pigs can be lethal, when they know how.
The sad fact is, they are not yet aware of their strength.

God above made a big mistake with that one.
St Francis, what are you doing up there?
A word in the ear would not go amiss.

No someone needs to speak up for the animals of the world. there are plenty of self promoting popstars that are willing to jump into bed with the
pm over third world debt

but there is a point, he is making is correct. animal rights really doesnt offend anyone. it poses no challenge to Bush or Blair or anything like that. its not as if MOZ is telling his fans to stop buying petrol or to protest the war etc. Its animal rights, whereas he can banter all he wants but its not changing anything really. those of us who are veg are the choire.

so whats the point you are trying to make. Not every popstar has to be a politician as well

yeah but MOZ has made himself a politician by talking trash on Bush as nearly every single show. plus "america is not the world" really. come on, Moz is very political. It just seems that he has no answers or solutions to the problems. Okay, i agree with him Bush is trash. So, why not advocate that US and UK soldiers refuse to fight? Because he knows beyond any of his petty criticisms if he started really taking a stand he would have to back it up. Please take note that I am talking about Morrissey, a man whom i love and admire more than any other. Its just constructive criticism. I would like to see him take it a step further. I mean seriously, the man has a soap box and the US has invaded a nation on a whim

Pick your battles, close to your heart, and fight them. like moz

yes but political in the sense of saying i don't like this so i am going to comment on that particular issue rather than pick up the wider political issues and crusading on them. It may seem selfish to some people, but it means that his real beliefs are more defined
