Have just watched "a concert behind prison walls" and "Aloha from Hawaii" for the first time. More talent in those 4 little fingers than in most bands these days (although Hot Fuss is pretty special). Anyway, what is it with the audiences at those gigs ? Amazing things happening on stage, and the crowd behaving like the're watching daytime TV ?

Yes I remember the one when Johnny Cash visited a prison.
Aloha from Hawaii is amazing, you should get the dvd.
Although the one prior to that, before he was a little bloated, is far far better.
I think it was "Elvis that's the way it is"

Made just before the real demise.

Tickets for Elvis gigs in the 70s were a few hundred dollars, so the crowd were wealthy theatre types, hence the behaviour. If you look at them, you will see thay are all dresed as if for dinner in a swanky restuarant.
