Can you tell the difference between Boys and Morrissey on this one?

Listen to the song "I'm Saving You For Later" and, be honest, say: doesn't it sound very much like Morrissey? Of course, Moz on one of his bad-voice days...

It's a damn good try, I'll give 'em that. No wonder some people thought the pre-quarry hoaxes were real.

Sk.

The vocal on "A New Girl Born" was more convincing (as a Morrissey pastiche). Liked that song better, too. "Wapping" is the weakest of the three. The opening is straight from The Stone Roses' "I Wanna Be Adored". The singer doesn't have the ability Moz has to wrap his vocal in a surprising and beautiful way around the music. BUT, they're not too bad...

Have yet to see what they look like, tho'.

They look like the cover of "The world won't listen" come to life. Really, they do.

A 50s look? Even better. Tell them to come to Japan, okay?

I told you it was Moz on a bad voice-day. I think it sounds a bit like Morrissey before he developed in to the great singer he is today. Let's say his pre-Strangeways days. I mean, something happened with his voice after The Queen is Dead. What, I don't know. Lessons?
