This website is obsessed with accountability and punishment.

Witness the enforced registration for the message board and the chat room. And the hysterical threats to track down somebody through their ISP and prosecute. As soon as somebody says or does something out of line, this kneejerk reaction comes out.

Orwell was dead right about "1984"; on the net, so-called 'guardians' are so-so concerned about what sites you visit/what you post and they try to use it is a hold over you.

"I'm going to report you etc" and all that playground idle talk. We know that the threats are not usually carried out but they still, by their very nature, annoy.

The net should be about freedom of expression. Unfortunately, the draconian measures recently introduced here are mere symptoms of the PC-obsessed, anti-freedom of speech malaise that is ruining this world.

Rules and laws are necessary in all phases of life. You call it "big brother," I call it protection and safety. David isn't going to fill our Emails with spam.
