We just like them so we can slag them off.

Anyway how can you say that coming from the land of the Oscars? Those fools queue up for days to see a glimpse of Tom "Plastic" Cruise walking on a bit of red carpet.

I was only talking about music. I cannot defend America's worship of movie stars, except to say it's better that than a royal family.

You should've listed the Kinks and Stones, they were both much better than the Beatles.

I'd be here all day if I tried to list all em all.

Best singers in world history: Elvis; Frank Sinatra
Best guitarist to ever live: Hendrix
Best band in human history: Ramones
I could go on with hundreds but I don't wanna make England feel bad.

Default And Dylan is a better lyricist than Morrissey. Although Morrissey is #2.

And Dylan raised the bar pretty high on memoirs; we'll see what Morrissey comes up with.

I could sit here all day and go from Motown, to blues, to hillbilly, to hip hop, to rock, to everything, from Roy Orbison to the NY Dolls, from the Ronettes to Prince. No one can touch American music. England fairs well v. the rest of the world. But all England does is put English spins on American music.
