Default Transportation from London to Brighton?

    Hello.

I'll be flying in from the USA to see three concerts:
Gene's final show on December 16th, Morrissey in Brighton on the 17th and Morrissey in London on the 18th.

Are there any Londoners who will be driving to Brighton on the 17th and/or returning to London on the night of the 17th or morning of the 18th? If so, I'd greatly appreciate a ride.

Otherwise, can someone give me information about cheap bus/train fares? I've searched online and found conflicting information. For example, is it possible to get from Brighton to London AFTER the show on the 17th, or should I arrange accommodation in Brighton.

Please drop me an email if you think you can help out!
    Scott.

Default Re: Gatwick Airport is near Brighton! and arrange accomodation in Brighton!

You will NOT be able to get back to London after Midnight!
Brighton has some really nice hotels get one by the sea front but DO book in advance as they fill up quickly!!! Brighton is a popular place!
'Victoria train Station in London' has train to Brighton! they call it 'London Victoria'!
    Also Croydon does.
Victoria coach station(near Victoria train station) has coaches.
Gatwick Airport is your best best bet it's in Sussex and Brighton is in Sussex it is really easy to get a train from Gatwick to Brighton! they are near each other!

Hey. I am in the same boat as you. I will be at the last 3 gigs, and as far as I can see, the last train to leave Brighton after the gig is at 11:02, so it will be cutting it kind of close. It is about a 10 minute walk from the venue to the train station also. You can go to this site I linked below and buy tickets online, and find out other info. The train is kind of expensive, but there are not many other options, unless you stay in Brighton for the night, and www.easybus.com has buses that run between the two places for £1, but they are a bit longer of a ride, and very limited scheduals.

Do you have a link to where the correct info is then? That's pretty much all I could find. I don't think I will qualify for a 'young persons railcard' anyways. Don't you have to be under 25 or something?

I found this site, which seems to have some pretty good info for those in the US.
