Torrent Files - Moz concert

Could somebody please explain to me what a Torrent-file is exactly, can i also make a cd-r of it? There's a Moz-concert as a Torrent-file here: http://aloneta.mine.nu:6969/

A torrent is a file availible through a certain filesharing procedure. What you want to do is download a bit torrent client (preferably bit tornado - get it at: www.bittornado.com), install it and then just click on the title you want to download. If anyone who has "seeded" the file is online the download should start imedialtely, if not - just leave it running.

A torrent is NOT a format, alas the file, once downloaded, is probably a mp3 or something similar so there should be no problem making a cd-r out of it.
