Did Alain wear drag ? and there was me thinking it was only Boz who liked to wear skirts

YES, I think maybe Boz was in drag too (he was a bit thinner then) I was in a foul mood because my boyfriend at that time didn't like Morrissey ( none of them have, what's the deal? ) (well, I do have a prospect in mind haha) YES, I recall feeling totally pissed off, and I was saying to some guy I met there, "Who ARE these bitches?" Where's Alain & Boz? Alain looks GREAT in drag, VERY believable. Yep, he had the full on make up and short skirt with heels. Then I realized, and laughed. Great show. Glad I didn't listen to my bf and insisted on going alone. Much better.

Boz couldn't wait to get to Edinburgh in August so he could don his kilt.It does give so much freedom of movement...might be a tad cold for them though when they return in December

LOL! Boz is so cool. Very nice man.

He is a nice man.Our paths used to cross when I was working at record fairs in the late 1988/1993 in London.

I take great pride in the fact that I sold him a rather rare album by the all girl group "Paperdolls".He told me that he was giving it to Moz as a present as Morrissey was a big fan of the group.

Boz's claim to shame ? He's a big fan of early Status Quo

Ahhh, we can forgive our Boz that unfortunate quirk. I was in the UK in 88'- ahh I missed so much! Who gives a rat's ass about the Tower of London, when THIS stuff was going on?

Not to intrude but I thought only Boz was in drag for that show. Having been there as well, I didn't recall Alain being dressed that way, too. But I do know for a fact that Boz was. Not calling anyone a liar, mind you ;-)

Great show

Decent venue, and the band was in good form. Alain was in drag, as someone already said, and that was something of a surprise given that Morrissey and band were a little more, shall we say, buttoned up back in those days. The banter and the t-shirt uniforms hadn't been dreamed up yet.

The 1992 tour was fantastic, but I preferred the 1991. Nearly every show I saw was amazing, and there was something great about discovering Boz, Alain, and the rest for the first time. Excellent shows.

That was a great show. Very, very violent and rough too. I remember the crowd already whirling and heaving when Big Sandy played, and they were getting pelted with missiles too. I caught his sparkly blue shirt he threw out at the end, and ended up in a battle with about 10 other people for about 5 minutes, and we could not get the damn thing to rip. People were using their teeth, and somebody pulled out a pocketknife, but it would still not rip. Finally, security came out and broke it up, but everyone was already bloody. The venue was hot as hell too, and still stunk like livestock from the fair.

Well, you're probably right- but it WAS a long time ago. Yeah, you are right, it was just Boz in drag. My bad.

Sharron, yes, wasn't boiling in there? Livestock from the fair, lol. Did you manage to get a piece of his shirt? I agree; It was very violent!

I am sure you most likely aren't, but please don't lose any sleep over it ;-)
