If only to watch an embarrassed Jamie Theakston have to explain that no, actually the Smiths won't be appearing in person at the Hackney Empire to receive the "honour" of being inducted into the UK Music hall of fame. Bit of a ridiculous claim to make- don't see Jacko, Springsteen, Prince etc.. bothering to put in an appearance either. Also U2 - founding members of music hall of fame with the beatles and bob marley?. er... is it me or are U2 the single most overrated band in music history?
