It's going to be A LOT more dangerous than that if Bush gets back in. You have NO idea. Scary shit - very scary shit. I admit, I don't really care about Kerry. But I hate Bush so very much that I will vote for the lesser of two evils. It disappoints me so much. There's NEVER been ANY candidate I have totally impressed by. Well, not true. This may amaze the Repulicans here, but I have great respect for McCain. Imagine the torture he endured in Vietnam. Amazing man.

I pray that one day Arnold Shwarzenegger could be president.
As far as McCain, he's okay, but Dems should beware, he's more right wing than they realize. And yes, he's a huge war hero. However, he doesnt' feel the need to go on about it to everyone he meets. For real war heros, people already know, so they don't need to be constantly told.
I think he'll be a bit old in 2008, however. My choice, since Arnold cannot run, is for Mayor Rudy. Rudy is much better than Bush because he's not down with the religious right and he's a much better communicator.
Bill Maher had an excellent idea on his show some weeks back. He said America deserves the best v. the best, and the Dems and Repubs should make a deal where Republicans will back a consitutional amendment allowing Slick Willie to run again, and Democrats will back a Consutitional amendment allowing immigrants to run for president.
Then we could have the election the people really want: The Governator v. Clinton! That would alienate the socialist left and the socially conservative right (who should be alienated), but for the majority of the populace they would get the choice they've been dreaming about.
And, as Maher pointed out, there wouldn't be any digging into each others dirty laundry in THAT race, because those two guys with their sex scandals would just not wanna go there at all!

I agree with you, boingo- that's kind of a strange parellel. But unfortunately a lot of people love to shoot defenseless animals- as sport! You would think Kerry would have thought of that, but in other parts of America, *hunting for game* is quite accepted and even applauded. Just ask Ted Nugent.

LOL I know, I did see that episode of "Real Talk" . Maher is a fucking genius, plus he's hilarious. Glad he went to HBO. He can say what he wants now. That *would* be an awesome debate, can you imagine? It would probably be on Pay Per View! No, I KNOW Ahhnold is way more conservative that he seems.
