The discussion board is a losing battle, but maybe we can try out a novel idea: talking about the music and lyrics of Morrissey!

Anyway, if you had to choose your favourite story told in a Smiths or Morrissey song, what would it be? The tale of the drowning girl in Vauxhall's Lifeguard..., Moz' take on Jack the Ripper, or maybe the state of the nation epic, The Queen is Dead...

Related to this would also be your favourite character Morrissey has created... Is it David, the disaffected youth of National Front Disco?; Hector, the tragic homeboy of First of the Gang...; or perhaps the Girl Least Likely To?

Well, This Night Has Opened My Eyes is as close to a story in song form as you can get, and it should be, considering its derivation.
